August/2020 Someone from USA / Spain thinks:

  • Overall rating: 8.4
  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: The property is stunning, the gardens and lanscaping are incredible. We loved the pool area - totally relaxing, and the waiters were all kind and attentive. Iñigo also handled an issue we had with our AirCon the first night beautifully, when his staff had not done so well the night before. The food is fabulous and our room (apartment 1) was also lovely and well decorated. The views are also incredible, especially from the rooftop. Overall it is an incredible property, a little piece of paradise, with the potential to be one of the best properties in Ibiza.
  • Negative: The hotel staff seemed to lack training. Our check in was chaotic - difficult to find reception, and once check in was done we were only given the keys - no one explained how breakfast works (schedule), the wifi password, that there was a rooftop terrace for drinks (we did not know this until our last day, which is a shame because we would have been up there each night-spending money at the hotel instead of elsewhere), or that there were bikes available to guests. Next, our room was BOILING hot and it quickly became clear that the AirCon was broken. We asked the staff on duty to have someone look into this, and he did very quickly and was very helpful, but once it became clear that it would not be fixed the same night, we should have immediately been offered another room instead of simply a fan. It was so hot in the room that it would have taken hours for a fan to cool the room down, and we had paid for a room with a working AC. I had to request another room and it was given to us, but we were told we had to go back to our original room early in the morning as people would be checked into the second room the next day, and then spend the day outside the room while they fixed the AC. Obviously, this is very uncomfortable, as we had to pack our belongings, move rooms, and then pack again in the morning and move. We should have immediately be offered some sort of compensation for this headache, at the very least a bottle of wine, but the staff did not have that kind of training or authorization it seemed. Although the staff could not have been nicer, this lack of training is unacceptable at this level. In the morning, Iñigo swiftly fixed the situation and told us we could keep the second room (no one was checking in that day, despite what the night staff had told us, so we had packed and moved again that morning for no reason), and discounted the cost of the first night from our bill - not necessary, but very much appreciated. The rest of our stay was FABULOUS, but all of the headache of the first night, and the small errors at check in, could have been avoided had the staff been fully trained. Upping the training could really take the hotel to the next level, as the rest of the hotel is much more special than the 5 star hotels on the island I have stayed at (Nobu, ME). I would compare its potential to Castell Son Claret in Mallorca, but with far better views and modern style, and with a few small changes it could reach that level. Also, another missed opportunity - most of the guests did not know we could order lunch to the pool, and the staff did not check in often to see if pool loungers wanted anything - marketing this option at check in and having staff offering drinks by the pool more often would be a fabulous plus, and would get guests spending even more at the hotel. We would have done this every day had we known, but the restaurant seemed so separate we had no idea until our penultimate day.

  • Cleanliness: 10 Very clean rooms
  • Location: 10 Amazing views!
  • Common facilities and services: 5 Great pool and facilities. Information is not always provided and guests of the hotel should always have space at the roof top bar. If your website mentions “tapas with a view” you should also serve tapas.
  • Staff: 2.5 Mostly F&B management is not efficient. Team members and front desk is great.
  • Quietness: 10
  • Room: 10 Great spacious rooms with nice decor
  • Value for money: 5 From a boutique hotel with only 35 rooms at these rates you would expect better recognition and service from the management staff.

  • Would you recommend it? Yes
  • Positive: The friendly staff, the amazing food, the beautiful setting... just perfect! We will be back very soon!
  • Negative: Occasionally the breakfast service was a little haphazard, but we completely understand that the hotel had just re-opened and getting used to the new Covid normal, but the staff were always super friendly and apologetic, we just had to ask 2/3 times for the same thing occasionally - not a big deal as we were on holiday and not in a rush :)
