• Negative: Changes made to dining room/service and food. The food, which used to be a highlight of the hotel, is not as good as before with a reduced selection and quality. A lot of frozen and pre-prepared food now used (frozen meat skewers, chips and and bought in burgers. Pizza and bolognese sauce as alternatives. Slimy processed ham and turkey cold meat slices. Poor cheese selection at dinner as alternative to desserts. Sorry, but also disappointed with restaurant refit which felt a bit dreary and impersonal - lacks the warm, friendly feel it had before. Sad to see less use made of brilliant serving staff who were a have now sadly been reduced to plate cleaners.

• Negative: First room smelt bad, so we was moved to the room next door. After two days this room also smelt the same as the previous one with a bad smell coming from the air con. Cockroaches found in room, the patio door often left unlocked by the cleaner. Rooms even though sold as renovated were very dated and beds uncomfortable.
