The Petit Palace San Bernardo was completely renovated in 2006. It is located in the city centre, in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, beside Madrid’s Gran Vía and a few metres from the Royal Palace and Opera House. This boutique hotel occupies an old early 20th Century building. All of its rooms have a laptop computer and free Wi-Fi and ADSL Internet connection; they have a modern and elegant design to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. It is located a few metres from Puerta del Sol in the historical and monumental centre of the city. Starting point for the main monuments and tourist attractions of the capital such as the Opera House, Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor which are just a stone’s throw from the hotel, as well as the famous Art Triangle with the three most important museums of the city: the Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofía Modern Art museums.

- Positive: Clean, modern, comfortable rooms with good air-con, helpful and friendly staff, healthy breakfast options. Central location near the Gran Via.
- Negative: Expensive when staying on your own in a double room. No full length mirror. Bedroom faced out onto the street - noisy on a couple of occassions. Room had 2 wooden columns - one obstructing passage way into the room.

- Location: 10 Just off the Gran Via and close to bars and restaurants.
- Common facilities and services: 5 Breakfast wasn't too good, and the lobby/dining area was too small.
- Staff: 2.5 found the reception staff unhelpful.
- Quietness: 7.5 was woken up by building work, but not until about 10am
- Room: 7.5 Very modern rooms, however the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor.
- Value for money: 5 I think you are paying for the location more than anything.

- Negative: que siendo el mes de febrero la calafación estaba tan alta en todo el hotel que aunque en la habitación intentamos bajarla, la pusimos a 15 grados. No hubo manera, acabamos durmiendo con la ventana abierta, y por lo tanto no muy bien, calor-frio, frio-calor, y tan solo nos quedabamos una noche. Eso si perfecto que en la habitación tengan ordenador y wifi, es comodisimo. El desayuno estaba muy bueno. y la situación del hotel perfecta.
