• Quietness: 5 I was there when Spain won the semi-finals in the World Cup - the street was very noisy until midnight. Also, the air conditioner was a little noisy.

• Positive: Very clean and close to most of the landmarks we wanted to visit. All personnel were extremely helpful in answering our questions.
• Negative: Had trouble getting the hotel's phone operator to understand the English language. However, was able to contact housekeeper who was able to get maintenance man unstop sink drain. Had a little problem getting luggage into small elevator but made two trips which was no big problem. Madrid is a beautiful city. Unfortunately, we did not allow enough time to enjoy all of it. Will try get back there again in a couple of years.
