Villa Ducci is situated in a panoramic position with magnificent view over the towers of San Gimignano at 1,5 km from the city centre. The origins of the villa have been lost in the course of the centuries. Sure is that in the 13th century documents of the municipality of San Gimignano mentioned a watch-tower at San Biagio. During the following centuries a residential complex was formed around the watch-tower. The villa's name comes from the Ducci family who, in the beginning of the 19th century, enlarged and transformed the tower into a villa. Only in the course of the year 2003, the villa was changed into an elegant holiday complex. The rooms in the villa and in the annexed farmhouses offer a warm, confortable atmosphere. Plain, simple furnishings create a feeling of intimacy and cosiness, qualities which are very important when you are far away from home. All the accomodations have air conditioning/heating, TV sat, safe, shower or tub.
